Getting an account

You can't sign yourself up. Tell us what you're organizing on the request page, and we'll come back to you — usually within a day or two. We're doing it this way while we're small, so that everyone who gets in actually gets helped.

If we say yes, your account is created there and then and you'll get an email with a link to sign in. There's no password to invent: you type your email address and we send a six-digit code.

Sometimes we'll come back and ask for a bit more — usually just what kind of event it is or roughly how many people. That's not a no. Update your request with the link in the email and it goes straight back to us.

None of this applies to your guests. Anyone can book a place and hold a ticket without an account, and always will be able to. The invite is for running events, not attending them.

What we record when you ask

Along with what you type, we keep your IP address, your browser, and the address you arrived on. It's there so we can tell a real request from an automated one. We don't show it to anyone else and nothing is decided automatically — a person reads every request.
